Path Of Exile Has Taken A Different Direction

Diablo 3 may have become a very good game over the patches, there are many newer and more interesting alternatives than Diablo 2, some of which are free or at a low price. We invite you to discover Path of Exile here.

Here is the title that may be considered the biggest competitor of Diablo 3 at the moment. Released in October 2013, Path of Exile has taken a different direction since it is Free to play and its approach is much more hardcore than its counterpart. The best example is probably the famous titanic tree of talent that will require a lot of planning and a lot of farming. Let's take a look at the adopted Free to play model, the paid items are almost exclusively cosmetic. The gamers can buy PoE orbs from the online gaming house to arrange the necessary things to personalize the characters and teams.

The level design Path of Exile also stands out with levels sometimes completely darkened, skimpy and full of traps. These elements are pushed to a much higher level than what can be seen in Diablo 3. The fact that in Patch of Exile the paying elements have always been quite limited, that in addition to the seasons and regular events are available well before the removal of the auction house and the release of Reaper of Souls, as well as his life-saving patches make it was considered a moment as superior. This is much less true now and it is more of a public issue than anything else, but Diablo 3 may have been inspired by the competition to turn the corner.

However, it remains true that Path of Exile is infinitely superior to Diablo 3 in terms of events and content updates (it's not difficult). You will almost never have the chance to get bored if you are ready to meet its many high level challenges. With the fairly regular release of extensions like Ascendency, Forsaken Masters and more recently Fall of Oriath, the game is better than ever. If you're looking for a good hack and slash with a huge amount of content available (as well as regular content updates) without spending a penny, you can take the leap. The decisive elements, however, will be whether its more hardcore and old-fashioned approach will seduce you or not, and whether its fairly dated graphics will not discourage you.
